Deciding what subjects to study in Year 11 and 12 can be a daunting process, particularly if students are not yet sure if university is the right pathway for their future goals. Our information sessions will provide advice on UWA’s courses, entry requirements and other helpful subject selection tips that will allow students to keep their future study options open.
2015 Awards and Scholarships opening soon
Year 12 students considering applying to UWA for Semester One, 2015 will have the opportunity to start applying for a wide range of UWA scholarships available to commencing students from 1 June, 2014. With an earlier opening date than in previous years, students will now have an extended timeframe to consider their options and apply well before the 30 September deadline.
UWA Career Advisers Day
Mark your calendars, write it in your diaries, save it to your phone – however you choose to remind yourself, do not miss the UWA Career Advisers Day, which will be held on Wednesday 25 June. If you provide career counselling to secondary school students, this year’s event promises to give you plenty of opportunity to find out about everything UWA has to offer.
UWA Excellence Camp
We are inviting WA high schools to nominate a high-achieving student in Year 12 to attend our inaugural UWA Excellence Camp between 7 and 9 July. Over three fun-filled and informative days, students will be exposed to all aspects of university life, including the opportunity to meet current students and academics, learn more about our Assured-entry Pathways and Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) course, and participate in a variety of hands-on activities.
A musical day in the life of a uni student
In the April school holidays, 25 talented young musicians in Years 11 and 12 descended on the School of Music – instruments in hand – to participate in “A Day in the Life of a Music Student”!
